Grandparent Gatherings
Are you a grandparent raising grandchildren? Free support group available to connect & share experiences. Resources available. Refreshments provided.

Seniors Are Talking
We provide a safe, comfortable place for social interaction, laughter, friendship building, problem solving and brainstorming surrounding common concerns. Topics include issues such as health, safety, and seniors benefits. Guest speakers and bi-monthly excursions are part of the program. Refreshments provided.

Seniors In Motion
Connecting Seniors in District 69 to SOS Services, Activities & Programs. Seniors in Motion helps Seniors who may be: lonely, inactive, fragile, non-mobile, shut-in, ill or bored. Caring support is just a phone call away.

Friendship Link (for mature adults)
This free service introduces seniors to others, based on location and interests. Safe and Confidential. An SOS Seniors in Motion initiative helping to enhance the quality of your life.

Hardship Emergency Support and Referral
Program provides immediate help in crisis and gives direction to promote self-sufficiency. Assistance may include referral to other SOS programs and/or other community groups, agencies and/or organizations.

Meals-On-Wheels
SOS Meals On Wheels program assists people in maintaining their independence by providing hot, nutritious, meals at a reasonable cost. SOS volunteers deliver meals three times a week to an average of 50 residents per month. Meals are prepared at Eagle Park Health Care Facility in Qualicum Beach. Partially funded by Vancouver Island Health Authority. We welcome clients assisted by Veterans Affairs Canada.

Medical Transportation
Volunteer drivers transport residents to medical appointments.

Income Tax Program  
This program works in conjunction with Revenue Canada Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). A Revenue Canada Representative provides up-to-date training and support to SOS Volunteers to help them complete your income tax and benefit return. SOS volunteers are only trained to file basic income tax returns. They do not complete complex returns for individuals nor do they complete self-employment returns. INCOME GUIDELINES TO QUALIFY: Single: $25,000.00/year, Married: Combined total income of 30,000.00 or less
